So, if you were following my quest yesterday, you may have realized that in addition to my search for beers and burgers (which were obtained quite successfully at Gas Monkey Bar & Grill), you may have noticed I was also on the hunt for a new DD beater. Better mpg is literally all I wanted. If you saw Yowen's post, you'd realize why.

Since Chucky D is a tech for VW, I can get his assistance if anything goes wrong, should I need it down the road. We scoured craigslist and looked at several mk IV jettas yesterday. I think everyone we looked at still had paper tags where the seller had just picked it up from auction and was just trying to flip it for a few hundred bucks.
We had just about given up and then we stumbled across one that was not on our list of mk IV's to check out. Turns out that's the one I picked up and drove it home. Tried to post it to oppo last night, but kept getting kinja all of over my face. So this morning, my fellow oppopotomuses, I present to you the newest addition to KB Garage. 2000 mk IV two.slow.

I didn't think it was too bad. Talked him down a bit. It's in pretty good shape compared to the others in the 3K price range I saw yesterday.
